Options
Window glass
We replace float, laminated and toughened glass in timber and aluminium frames, sashes and fixed panes included.
Sliding and hinged door glass
Sliding doors, French doors and front doors, in toughened or laminated glass, whichever the code asks for in that spot.
Obscure and frosted glass
Frosted, reeded or patterned glass for bathroom and entry windows, so the light gets in and the view does not.
Make safe
If the glass is broken, we board or tape the opening so the place is secure until the new pane arrives.
Insurance work
We give you the quote and photos your insurer asks for, and bill them directly where they allow it.
Cracked splashbacks and mirrors

Questions people ask
How quickly can you replace broken glass?
Standard float glass can usually be cut and fitted within a few days. Toughened glass has to be cut and toughened to size, and is usually in within 7 days. We make the opening safe while you wait.
Do you do emergency glass repairs?
We make the opening safe and get the new glass in as fast as the glass type allows, but we are not a 24-hour service. Call, or text us a photo, and we will tell you when we can get there.
Can you help with an insurance claim?
Yes. We give you the itemised quote and photos your insurer needs, and we can bill the insurer directly where their process allows it.
Can you replace the glass without replacing the frame?
Most of the time, yes. If the frame is sound we just change the glass. If the frame has had it, we tell you straight and quote both ways.
Is it cheaper to replace the glass or the whole window?
If the frame is sound, replacing the glass is almost always cheaper, because the frame, the reveals and the plaster all stay as they are. A new window only makes sense when the frame itself is rotted, warped or broken.
Can you replace just the glass in an aluminium window?
Yes. We pull out the glazing beads or wedges, fit the new pane with new rubbers, and put the beads back. Once the glass is cut, it is usually under an hour on site.
What glass has to be safety glass?
AS 1288 says doors, panes close to the floor, bathrooms and anywhere else someone could fall against the glass need Grade A safety glass, toughened or laminated. We check where the pane sits when we measure and fit the right grade.
What areas do you cover for repairs?
Melbourne's western suburbs and the inner city are our home ground: Altona, Williamstown, Newport, Yarraville, Point Cook, Footscray and the areas around them. For bigger jobs we travel further.
