Sliding shower screens

A slider opens without needing room for a door to swing, so it is the answer for narrow bathrooms and showers squeezed in beside a bath or vanity. Frameless sliders hang from a top track on soft rollers, so the glass looks like it is floating.

Sliding shower screens

Options

Frameless sliders

10mm glass hung from a stainless top track on soft rollers, with floor guides at the bottom. The AquaSlide and Opto systems are both in our catalogue.

Soft-close sliders

Dampers slow the door down before it closes, so it does not slam. The Sofia system works this way.

Reeded and tinted glass

Fluted glass if you want privacy, or grey or bronze tint if you want a darker bathroom.

Track finishes

Polished or satin stainless, matte black, brushed brass or gunmetal, to suit the rest of the room.

What we install to

The numbers we work to on every job, so it passes the first time.

  • We fit 10mm toughened safety glass to AS 1288 on every frameless slider.
  • We use a track and rollers rated for the weight of the door, so it keeps running smoothly.
  • Every slider gets a floor guide and water seals.

Questions people ask

Is a sliding shower screen better than a hinged door?

It is the better choice when there is no room for a door to swing, like a narrow bathroom or a shower next to the vanity. If you do have the room, a hinged frameless door gives you a slightly wider opening and fewer moving parts.

Do sliding shower screens leak?

Not if it is fitted properly. A floor guide and seals keep the water in, and we put the overlap between the fixed panel and the door on the side away from the shower head.

Can a sliding screen have reeded glass?

Yes, and it is one of the most popular slider choices we see. Have a look at the reeded sliding screen in our projects.

How long does it take?

Usually within 7 days of the measure, then a morning to fit it.

A phone photo of the space and your suburb is enough to start. We come back within one business day, then measure on site for free before anything is ordered.
