Glass for steam rooms and saunas

A steam room only works if the glass seals and the hardware can take the heat and moisture. We install frameless doors and full enclosures for steam rooms, saunas and wet rooms.

What we install to

The numbers we work to on every job, so it passes the first time.

  • We use 8mm or 10mm toughened safety glass to AS 1288.
  • We fit full perimeter seals and a drip rail on every steam door.
  • We only use hardware rated for heat and humidity, because anything else gives up quickly in a steam room.

How it works

  1. Send a photo

Use the form or text a photo of the space and some rough measurements to Josh on 0401 539 105 or Daniel on 0433 279 221.

  2. We measure and quote

A free site measure within the week and you will receive a written quote with the glass, hardware and finish spelled out.

  3. We order your glass

Your glass is cut, toughened and polished to the measure.

  4. We install

All jobs are usually finished the same day they are started. The space is left clean and ready for use.

Where we work

Altona Meadows, Williamstown, Point Cook, Brighton, Kew, Toorak, Mornington Peninsula, and the suburbs around them. All areas.

Questions people ask

What is different about steam room glass?

The seals. A steam room door needs seals on all four edges and a transom above it, or the steam just pours out. The hinges and handles also have to be rated for constant heat and moisture.

Can you install a glass door on a sauna?

Yes. We use toughened glass, usually tinted, with a timber or stainless handle and hinges rated for dry heat.

Do you install the steam generator?

No, we do the glass. Your plumber and tiler look after the generator and the tiling, and we come in to measure once the tiles are on.

How long does it take?

Usually within 7 days of approval.

Can the glass be reeded or tinted?

Yes. Reeded glass and bronze or grey tint both work in a steam room, and they give you privacy without making the room feel closed in.
